A project of Southwest Economic Solutions, I am the Program Manager for ProsperUS Detroit where I help facilitate an entrepreneur training course, professional business services, and micro-lending. Our team works with partners in the community to provide place-based economic development support to neighborhoods in the city.
For several years, I have helped with an online publication featuring “awesome” aspects of Michigan. Currently, I occupy the roles of strategist, senior associate editor, and occasional writer.

Freelance Writing + Event Planning
Most of the freelance writing work I have done is under a pseudonym, so I can’t link to it here. Believe me, it’s real (*wink*). I like to manage social media campaigns and write for interesting businesses or projects. As for event planning, I am skilled at working in Detroit’s neighborhoods, activating park spaces, and engaging with small businesses.
Master of Library and Information Science
I recently finished my Master’s in Library and Information Science with a concentration on Information Management specializing in User Experience from Wayne State University.
I am a proud member of the volunteer team that leads The Tricycle Collective in Detroit. Our team works to raise funds and awareness around the issues of foreclosure. We are currently developing resources for outreach and education in Detroit’s neighborhoods.
